Ice dyeing Yarn with fresh leaf indigo

We’ll use indigo fresh we harvest from the field at Talking Bread to dye a skein of worsted weight yarn. This method, using ice, will keep the leaf bits from mixing with the yarn.While our yarn dyes, we’ll use Tataki Zome, a Japanese method translating as flower pounding, to create a one-of-a-kind bandana.Also, other leaves and botanicals from talking Bread, the instructors garden or from your garden at home can be used. There will also be some extra time will the yarn dyes to grab a coffee and snack from Talking Bread. Class fee includes all materials.
